Abandoned Lake House

I had been watching a lot of Scooby Doo stuff recently and so here is a small scene I made as a way to practice more stylized PBR work as well as a more natural environment.

I had a lot of fun with taking my knowledge of making more realistic textures with Substance and adapting it to the creation of stylized ones. It wasn't without it's hiccups though, it took some trial and error to figure out how much detail to add before it became too detailed and lose the effect I was going for. That was a problem that especially became apparent when I started working on the trees. It was more difficult than I thought to reach a balance where things weren't either too barren, or too noisy. That said, I'm really happy with how everything came out!

I'll definitely have to make more stylized work in the future.

All of the modeling was done in Blender, with most textures made in Substance Designer/Painter. The textures for the sky was painted in Clip Studio Paint. Then everything was put together in Unreal Engine 4.
